Conheça a equipa: Dead Sailor - Cornualha, Reino Unido
«A Cornualha tem uma variedade fantástica de ciclistas»
Meet The Owner: Pete Wallwork
Can you give us a brief history of your store?
Dead Sailor started life back in 2012 when I was working in another bike shop. I had the idea to brand the BMX side of the business separately and the owner, Fred, let me run with it. 5 years later, I had the opportunity to buy what I had created so I jumped on it and opened Dead Sailor as it is now. This November is our 10-year anniversary!
What type of riders are part of your community and what makes your community so special?
Cornwall has an awesome variety of riders, from little 5-year-old shredders to older dudes still sending it! The towns and villages are pretty spread out around here, so there are little pockets of riders, each with their own style and love of BMX.

What’s your favourite BMX video?
Kevin Peraza most recent Vans BMX video is one of my favourites at the minute. Kevin has so much creativity and style on the bike wether it is park street or dirt.
Who is your favourite BMX filmer?
Ben Thomas and Martin Grainger are at the top of the list for me, both of them are genuine top blokes and shred on a bike. They also don’t mind standing hours on end trying to get a clip.
Tell us what’s good about your local scene:
Sadly in Cornwall, there isn’t much of a local scene compared to other places. However once-in-a-blue moon when the boys do dust the cobwebs off their bikes it’s fucking rad, beers ‘n’ bikes, what else do you want!?

Anthem 2, It’s probably one of the only videos I watch on repeat! The riders, the tunes and all the sections just get me hyped to ride!
Who is your favourite BMX filmer?
It’s gotta be Rich Forne, he just makes BMX look so good! Not to mention he kills it on a bike as well.
Tell us what’s good about your local scene:
The local scene’s pretty small and mellow these days, but when everyone’s about it’s all good times and laughs! You can’t beat riding bikes with friends!
What’s your favourite BMX page on Instagram?
It’s gotta be the fast and loose boys! (@fastandloosebmx)

What’s your favourite BMX video?
Little Devil - Criminal Mischief. I grew up with older riders who were watching those sorts of videos. It was basically my bible as a kid and I watched it pretty much every day before going riding, and still do now. Just seemed like good fun and solid riding, also Homans part still gives me goosebumps.
Who is your favourite BMX filmer?
Martin Grainger - top bloke, good friend, great end product!
Tell us what’s good about your local scene:

I've always liked watching something filmed by Peter Adam, although I don't really pay that much attention to who filmed what.
