Ti presentiamo il team: The Curb - Kuala Lumpur, Malesia

Can you give us a brief history of your store?

I started to do this BMX selling business because at that time (2010) there was no BMX shop in Malaysia. Riders needed to get parts from the nearest neighboring county - Singapore. So at that time, I would always go to Singapore for many BMX events, and every time I went, riders would ask me to buy parts for them. So after a while, my friend gave me a suggestion of selling BMX as a business here in Kuala Lumpur. He gave me a partition in his shop to start this BMX business and from there it all started. I initiated this with an idea in my mind: it’s hard for Malaysia BMX riders to get parts, let's make it easier. That's about all. I first opened my own BMX-specific shop in 2013. I named it ‘The Curb’. And the rest is history

What type of riders are part of your community and what makes your community so special?

Riders in Malaysia are mainly street riders, but we have a number of park riders and the flatland riders scene is pretty big too here. I think that we are unique because of our unity in BMX. Everybody knows each other and supports each other, no matter if you are a street, park or flatland rider.
